Chances are if you’re reading this you already know I have my own personal blog floating around in the MLBlogosphere and are probably wondering why I wanted to go and start another one. If you’re a reader of Defending Broad Street you have surely noticed that I don’t post to it terribly often and the reason for that being I tend to focus on “big picture” situations rather than the day-to-day, play-by-play, daily grind type style that most baseball blogs center themselves around. Quite frankly, I just don’t have the time for all of that. This is why I called on some of the best baseball lovin’ ladies I knew to collaborate with me on a site for baseball fans written by the demographic that always seems to have the least to say on the subject – the female fans. It’s not as though women baseball fans don’t exist and it’s certainly not true that they don’t know anything about the sport. No, trust me, these ladies could probably talk circles around the most devoted men that have been analyzing this stuff since they were old enough to trade baseball cards for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on the playground (at least that’s what I assume you boys did – I never gave away ANY of my cards).
